Alyssa Canann

Working with people in grief and at end of life moves me in myriad ways. Grief and death invite us collectively and as individuals to plumb new depths of feeling, of connectedness, of what it means to be human.

Alyssa’s mother, father and husband died, separately, within the space of nineteen months. She is inspired by those willing to talk openly about death – from aspects mysterious to mundane – and by those who fiercely urge us to accept and honor the reality of grief.
