Patrick has worked with end of life issues for many years. He was with End of Life Washington, where he helped clients explore and in some case use Washington State’s Death With Dignity Law for terminally ill patients. He volunteers with the palliative care service in local hospitals and is an advocate for advance planning for medical treatment. As an End of Life Coach, Patrick works with clients and families in the normal work of honoring and enhancing our quality of life, not just the quantity of life. Patrick has a special interest in those facing a terminal diagnosis, treatment decisions and long term care.
Patrick is also an attorney and has previously practiced as a public defender in Seattle. He has worked as an internet and website developer and has been a stay-at-home parent for his two daughters, now in college. Patrick’s wife is a primary care physician.
