The Rev. Karen L. Battle is a retired Lutheran pastor of Word and Sacrament who served congregations and various social ministry organizations for over 34 years. She started her coaching ministry in 2017 during a period of discernment in which she began preparing for retirement and wanted to engage in a ministry that would assist people in reaching their highest potential. She believes coaching is a ministry that seeks to empower individuals or groups to face and master various life challenges. In every coaching scenario the client is the expert. My role is to create a safe environment where the client(s) can share openly about problems they seek to solve or situations they want to improve. My commitment is to walk with them while asking powerful questions that will help them focus on and discern the best possible solution or outcome. Life coaching is the art of assisting highly gifted and talented persons to discover, maximize, and celebrate their resourcefulness and strengths to achieve their life goals and aspirations. Grief and End-of-Life coaching is accompanying an individual or group through the valley of pain, loss or dying until they are able to find hope and serenity again.
